So yesterday

I made some general recommendations.
To recap, Cloud Cult, webcomics and open-source are all recommended.

I am have decided to make these recommendations a bit more specific.

Especially good songs by Cloud Cult: "When Water Comes to Life" and "Take Your Medicine"

Some good webcomics include: www.thinkin-lincoln.com and www.terrorisland.net .
There are many others, but these are good ones I have discovered recently.

Open-source recommendations include Firefox, GIMP, Songbird, and Ubuntu.

I have done some awesome things

Several of them in the past week or so.
I have visited a cool place.
I have seen a good movie.
I have played some good video games.

Speaking of which, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a good video game.
It makes me happy.
Although being deprived of it for a week due to "Limited Edition Super Special Defective Wii Technology."

Also, there is this band Cloud Cult.
They are awesome.
Listen to them.

You should also read some webcomics.
Preferably the good ones.

Also: open-source is the best source

Some things

Some things aren't cool.
But some things are.

This describes life very well, but it also describes the BloggoBlag.
There are things on the BloggoBlag like webcomics some of which are cool other are not, and blogs some of which are cool, some are more like this one, and "online communities" most of which are not very cool.

Some people might think that the BloggoBlag is a part of life so I don't need to apply the "some things" mantra, but this is where they are wrong.

The BloggoBlag is not part of normal human life, it is powered by goblins, and monkeys, but mostly goblins.

And if I am not dead, I am still alive today.

I wrote this yesterday

Seriously, I promise.

But someone decided that the internet should start sucking

But anyway:

Something is coming, it will make many people quite happy if everything goes as expected.
This thing is Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Many believe it will be thoroughly awesome, and I am one of those people.

But I have a secret theory.
About something else.
Much less significant.

Duke Nukem Forever is real, it is already out, people have been playing it for years.
How is this possible? Duke Nukem Forever = the Matrix!

Yes.
This is true

I promise

I do not intend to turn this wobsite into a repository for movie reviews, but I just saw an AWEMAZING movie and feel the need to share my opinion about it with my reader(s?)

The Movie: Cloverfield
Basic Premise: People in New York, some thing BAD happens.

I will not give any spoilers here other than the occasional Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone spoiler so no need to worry about me ruining the movie.

My expectations: I expected something best described as terrifying awesome.

Results:I got that, and so much more. This is the best new movie I have seen in some time.
Dark, action filled cinematic genius is dominant here, interspersed properly with "explosions" and comedic moments. I Loved this film, and I now consider it one of my all-time favorites, along with The Goonies and Unbreakable.

Score: = explosions
This movie is best described as Super-Ultra-Great. The ending is perfect. This movie joins the legacy of films that receive my whole-hearted admiration and recommendation.

And if I am not dead, I am still alive today.

Not just any post

It's a movie review!

First to explain my rating system.
It was originally inspired by this comic.
I have expanded the basic premise to suit my own tastes.
The idea is that a movie I really enjoy has the right amount of action sequences (from here referred to as explosions) interspersed throughout the plot. Note: a movie can be enjoyable without explosions, I just like 'em.

However, a movie can be overfull of explosions as well as being under explosive.

Furthermore, I do not guarantee any correlation between my opinions and anyone else's.

Ratings are as follows
-(x) explosions - needs approximately (x) more explosions
+(x) explosions - to many explosions by approximately (x)
= explosions - the correct amount of action, excellent movie
if |x|<1 good movie
else if |x|>3 disapointing
else if |x|>=5 I was not amused.

so, that mess out of the way
The Movie: Juno
Basic premise: leading female is pregnant!

So let it be known that I really enjoyed the film, but I did not expect to. I had heard good things, but my initial expectations were somewhat low. I expected a romantic comedy, or something similar.
What I got was a darkly comedic film that blew away all my expectations. The film is bursting with memorable characters and thoroughly quotable dialogue. I walked in the theatre expecting to kill an hour and a half with something marginally more entertaining than what I would have done otherwise. I got so much more, but the movie wasn't quite perfect, at least not in my opinion.

Score: -1 explosion.

The last word: I enjoyed the film, more than expected. It has my recommendation, but it does not quite join the hallowed halls of =explosion films.

And if I am not dead, I am still alive today.
